Underdrive Crankshaft Pulley Kit (6/08 - 2009 Only)

Dinan's lightweight crankshaft pulley is constructed of Aircraft grade billet 6061 aluminum that is anodized black and engraved. It does not modify factory harmonics or dampening and safely underdrives the belt driven water pump, alternator, AC and power steering to reduce parasitic power loss on the M3 engine. It produces a peak gain of + 11 horsepower @ 8400 rpm and + 7 lb-ft torque @ 8400 rpm on a stock car.

The kit includes lightweight pulley and shorter belts for bolt on installation.

Please note that BMW changed the belt configuration from a single-sided power steering and AC belt to a double-sided belt for M3's that were produced after May 2008.

Dinan E9x M3 Engine Software raises the factory rev-limit from 8400 to 8600 RPM*, endowing the V8 with a broader power band and greater road speed potential in each gear. The software also removes the top speed governor, enabling the cars to attain their ''natural'' top speed; and the V8 will pull right to red-line in top gear! Changes to the throttle mapping help soften throttle tip-in for a sportier feel and improved modulation capabilities. The combination of Dinan's re-calibration of ignition timing, fuel delivery, and cam timing produce a maximum gain of 9 hp @ 6000 rpm and 8 lb-ft @ 6000 RPM. Peak horsepower is increased from 414 to 421 at 7900 RPM. Rev-limit raised from 8400 to 8600 rpm in manual mode only for cars equipped the M Double Clutch Transmission. The rev-limit is unchanged for the M-DCT in automatic mode.

Dinan software is not available for purchase on-line as it must be downloaded by an Authorized Dinan Dealer using specialized equipment.

Dinan's Stage 1 Suspension System provides greater control over body roll by virtue of carefully calibrated spring rates designed to work in conjunction with the original-equipment standard or EDC shocks and struts. Dinan lowers the M3 by 1/2" front and rear for improved suspension geometry and an even more aggressive stance. Matching bump stops and replacement front guide supports are included that actually increase suspension travel by 0.6" for improved handling capabilities along with surprisingly civilized ride quality. The higher spring rates, increased suspension travel and improved suspension geometry give the M3 even more grip for faster and more predictable cornering capabilities. All of the EDC system features are maintained for cars equipped with the option.

Dinan's beautiful 19'' spread-forged performance wheels are some of the lightest and strongest wheels on the market at a mere 20 lbs. each. Every surface of the forged wheel is machined, eliminating unnecessary material.

Not only do they reduce unsprung weight for superior handling but they also accommodate substantially larger tires for maximum grip and reduction of understeer by bringing the front and rear tire sizes closer together.

Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake

As boost is increased through the use of performance software, the single factory intake becomes restrictive and the engine is lacking the air it needs to make maximum power. Our cold air intake force feeds the 3 liter turbocharged inline 6 with greater volumes of cool, oxygen rich air for substantial power gains by utilizing our secondary carbon fiber intake. The system is so effective that the carbon fiber inlet air temperature is a full 40 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than the incoming air from the stock inlet.

Due to the increased airflow from our intake, the power-curve is extended into the higher RPM’s for a noticeable change. The system is a direct replacement for the factory air box lid, employing a hand-crafted carbon fiber unit that also includes a secondary carbon fiber intake tube that captures cool air from the lower grill and includes the shielding for the conical filter to insulate it from power robbing engine compartment heat.

Greater power gains are achieved with a larger high performance intercooler. The Dinan intercooler provides a 93% increase in total volume, substantially reducing the pressure drop by 0.7 psi, as well as providing more efficient heat exchange. "Cool down" time is also reduced, enabling the cars to produce full power under varying driving conditions such as stop and go traffic. The system has been engineered as a direct replacement for the stock unit, requiring only minor modifications for a clean, factory-like installation. The intercooler also features larger connector tubing and custom shrouding for maximum efficiency.

Used in conjunction with Stage 2 Performance Engine Software, the intercooler produces an additional 5 horsepower as well as more consistent performance under varying driving conditions. The improved thermal efficiency will also enhance turbocharger reliability.

The intercooler may also be used in conjunction with the Dinan oil cooler and Stage 3 Engine Software with increased boost pressure to take advantage of the improved intercooler efficiency.

Dinan's free flow exhaust for the 335 Coupe improves exhaust flow by reducing back pressure, resulting in increased power output and a great sporty sound that is civilized when you want it to be and pleasantly aggressive under harder acceleration. 100% stainless steel construction and exacting specifications ensure that the system fits correctly using the factory hangers and will resist corrosion for years to come. The design reduces overall weight as well and features 3.5'' black tips for a more aggressive high performance look.

The Dinan Carbon Fiber Front Strut Tower Brace provides sharper handling by reducing flex under harder cornering conditions and helps to maintain the structural integrity of the towers over the life of the vehicle. The beautiful carbon fiber brace may be installed in conjunction with any of the Dinan Suspension Systems or the stock components. The end brackets are black powder-coated CNC machined aluminum for precise fit over the strut tower reinforcements for a clean and solid installation. Also included is a shortened battery terminal and cover.

High Capacity Oil Cooler System

Recognizing the significance of this issue, Dinan set out to develop a more efficient heat exchanger, ultimately in the form of a High Capacity Oil Cooler.

The Dinan High Capacity Oil Cooler provides literally twice the volume of the stock unit, as well as 414 sq./in. of cooling tube vs. 112.5, and that’s really just the beginning. Nicely integrated inlet ducting provides greater airflow efficiencies and the ventilation of air to the fender well has also been improved with a larger outlet. The system mounts neatly in the stock location and includes lightweight convoluted PTFE hoses with polyester outer braid fitted with race-quality fittings.

The Stage 1 Dinan Performance Engine Software safely increases turbo-boost pressure, along with properly re-tuned fuel mixtures, ignition timing and full map rescaling. The top speed governor is removed, enabling the 135 to achieve its full potential. The software also features remapped water pump speeds as boost increases, better controlling operating temperatures which have been notably excessive even at stock boost pressures.
